A
Blind Man's Photo Album - Darkness...Enlightenment...Absolute...Black...Upbeat...Void...Unimaginable...Loss...Hope.
These are words that describe the dichotomy surrounding a thirty five
year old blind man's journey through his sometimes trying life. Only this
time Thaddeus Neumann, the blind man, takes a trip from Seattle with his
younger brother down the West Coast of the United States, in a beat up,
old VW camper. Having never been to this part of the country before, the
blind man is given a 35 mm camera, and documents this journey with photos
and corresponding captions. Armed with the camera and a tape recorder
the blind man captures the essence of life and the joy that follows. As
the two make their way down the coast, they take in the beauty that surrounds
them, all the while finding new sights to experience and describe. Amazingly
clear to the understanding of life, the blind man is fond of saying, "Sight
is a distraction." Not knowing exactly what is around him, he comes amazingly
close and often sees more than the rest. Find out who is actually blind:
the sightless, or the sighted? The two brothers like to refer to it as
A Blind Man's Photo Album, and believe it would make a moving coffee table
book.
Below Thaddeus records his thoughts and takes a photo for A Blind Man's
Photo Album.
